i just bought my 98 spyder turbo and the person that had it before me put a hks bov, an air intake filter and exhaust. also he bent the bracket on the wastegate on the stock turbo and the car is running open boost now. when i floor it it spikes boost and the car isnt running the way its supposed to. i have to control the boost level with my foot and the gas pedal. is there any way to set the boost level on the stock car without a boost controller or do i need to purchase a boost controller first? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Open boost? what is that suppost to mean. First you should bend the wastegate back if possible, and if not then get another wastegate. Then get yourself a boost gauge so you know where you are at boost wise. Then a boost controller and set that thing to about 15 psi and you will be set.

Just like he said here /\ Get a new actuator for the turbo and that will put you at about 10-12 PSI then if you want alittle more out of it get a MBC and adjust it to 15. A MBC can only raise boost. Goodluck.
