I was driving on the highway and it just turned on. I have about 80,000 miles on the car. Any ideas what it could be?

No nothing weird happened. I was driving on a dirt road (first time ever). Maybe a rock messed something up? I doubt it but the light didn't come on till much later.K_Hill said:Did the car do anything wierd before it happened? There is alot of factors that are involved in CELs.. Go to auto-zone and get them to see what codes it is throwing.
Is that going to reset the stereo and all of that?K_Hill said:Take your positive battery post off for 15 seconds and reconnect it and start the car wait and see if the CEL comes back on. If it does take it to auto-zone and get them to see what codes its throwing.
