OK So i bought a 93 eclipse gs from my career school i go to and the only problem was that the 3rd cylinder would not fire( got i cheap
) ok so by the time i had the head off i found a valve was missing a piece so the valve had to be replaced. The rest checked out good and the cylinder walls were smooth too so no damage when the valve lost the piece. The problem is that once it was fixed and hooked back up we crank the key over and nothing. Barley hits 300 rpms. Checked the firing order and replaced the wires and spark plugs with the ones from my good car. i know it takes 3 things to make a car go. Gas, spark, air. Got spark. Got Air. Smelled Gas and the car ran before so the gas must be good enoguh to start it. Anyone have any idea why when we crank its not starting up? Should I re time it?
The cam angle sensor was taken off at the time the head was done but I put it back on there and adjusted it while cranking it and then flipped it. Neither fired the motor up.
If anyone has any advice i would love to hear it.
