My dad and I inspected my rear brakes ( already did everything for front) and I needed new calipers rotors pads so we did them. However the e-brake has been acting up and sticking.
When it is up for a period of time and I go to drive and pull it down it wont roll in neutral. If I go to lift the e-brake lever up it will be very loose and feels like it is already on and stuck. My dad noticed that the driver's side rear brake is missing a clip that connects the e-brake cable to the caliper.
I was wondering what I should go about to fixing/diagnosing this problem? Should I check the rear/ t-case/ tranny? Should I just try to find the clip he is talking about? Perhaps it is just frozen because of the recent cold weather?
Any help would be appreciated, BTW I drive a 90 TSI AWD, thanks.
