1995 TSi Awd...first of all i have no clue why this is happening...the car studders once it reaches high RPM's in any gear..its around 5-6k and I heard a weird noise like a metal scraping noise..any ideas??

does it do that when your'e in neutral too?
Where is the noise coming from? Uner the valve cover? timing belt?

If its under the valve cover and only makes the noise when you're revving then .. it might be rod knock.. but just to be sure drop your oil pan and check for metal in there

good luck

i just replaced my clutch and a new TOB and its seems like it is comming from the engine or the tranny..but it makes my RPMs go down..when it happens so it loses power and kinda chugs alittle..I havent tried it in netural yet..but I do know it happens when I really get on it...
