Heres the run down on my setup:
1998 Galant
JDM 6bolt 4g63t
2g 98 GSX ECU
1g head/CAS
1g Coil pack/power transistor

So to keep it short, I spun a balance shaft bearing a few weeks ago. I went ahead and did the front/rear bs removal and bought a new auto tensioner to replace my old one. Got everything back together and the car will not idle and it sounds like it is misfiring or something is off with the timing. Ive checked all my sensors, MAS, CAS, Fuel injectors, Power transistor, they are all connected. I double checked, tripple checked the timing, it lines up perfect every time, except for the oil pump sprocket. Since I removed the rear BS as well, the oil pump sprocket doesnt have to aligned correct?

So since I got it started back up I have replaced the coil pack and spark plugs(wires are pretty much brand new). My old plugs that were in there seemed to be very carbon foulled and they smelled a bit like fuel. Ive only ran these new plugs(NGK BP6ES) for a few minutes so I will check them next time I am out.

Is there anything I am missing? It idled perfect at 700-800RPM before I spun the bearing, now if it gets that low it will want to die. Just need some suggestions, Im running out of things to try. Thanks in advacne!

PS: I will post pics of the old spark plugs in a bit if it helps at all.

Ok the car settled down to an idle around 1k which isnt too bad. But it still sounds like it is misfiring a bit. I do have a lot of lifter tick and I am not sure why. When the BS bearing spun, I had just started the car. I drove it around the block and parked it. Before taking the car apart the lifters did not tick at all. Now they tick so loud. I have an electric oil pressure gauge but it isnt hooked up yet.

Anyone else have any suggestions for me?

cam gears slip?

possibility of bearing material clogging your lifters.

might want to pop off the rockers and check the lifters out

Not sure, when the bearing spun it tear up the bearing too bad. There was a bit of shavings in the bottum of the oil pan and a bit on the oil sump filter. Cleaned it all up, didnt notice anything up inside the block at all.

Whats all intailed in removing the rockers? I have removed them in my old head but I had the camshafts out. Can you remove them w/o removing the camshafts?

Ok removed the lifters, cleaned them the way Vfaq stated. Lifters back in they are a bit quiet but the ticking is still there, o well not worried. Started it up, ran like crap still. I got a CEL for the barametric pressure sensor. I had a poteniometer hooked up to the BP sensor to fix the retarded random misfire CELs, so I disconnected it and wired it back up to normal. Started it up, car may or may not have run better, I dont remember. But I decided to adjust the CAS and see if it helped any and when I twisted it back all the way coutner clockwise it seemed to run ok, but it should have to be twisted back all the way. I pulled the CAS out, twisted it 180* and re-installed it, acted pretty much the same way.

So, I have narrowed it down. Timing on the logger is around 7-8* at 700-800RPM which isnt too bad. But I forget, twisting the CAS counterclockwise, does it retard or advance the timing?
