My friend is having a problem with getting his talon to start. it has spark, fuel, 150psi in every hole, timing set at 5*, cam timing dead on. The problem I see is that the injectors are reading 22-24ms when trying to start. Any thoughts on why it would be pouring in that much fuel?

--- ok can you get the car to start at all? Or does it just crank over and over and over? is it actually getting fuel? it could be there's no rpm reference signal.
--- check the cps(crank position sensor) and check to make sure that it is getting fuel just because the injector is pulsing doesn't mean it's actually throwing fuel. take out each injector while still plugged in and get a clear container and have him turn over the engine to see if you're actually getting fuel to the injectors. if that's ok do a dead head test. pinch off the return line while you still have the pressure tester in the fuel line and see if the pressure goes way up. if it does, everything from the pump to before the regulator is good. WARNING: ONLY DO THIS FOR A SECOND OR SO TO SEE IF THE PRESSURE GOES UP. IF YOU DO IT TOO LONG IT WILL CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO HIS FUEL SYSTEM.
--- check fuel pressure that will rule out the fuel pressure regulator. make sure you test pressure before the regulator. This could be a million things. I need a little more info. so I can help diagnose a little better. :talon:

This may sound stupid but I had a similar problem and I checked everything and then I finally pulled all the plugs and cleaned them with a wire brush (carefully) reinstalled and the car fired right up.

I would pull the plugs and do a plug read. If they are wet, I would change plugs and try it again. Listen to the injectors to see if they give off a sharp metallic click. Use a mechanics stethescope or a long thin screwdriver held to your ear and the point to the injector. Good Luck
