Problem

Ok so, i recently bought a car from a guy, i put a new rad in it, and i needed to get the car jumped since it wouldnt start, when we first started it after a few minutes the rad smoked for a while, eventually it stopped, when i got it home, i went to start it the next day, and it took a while, and after it went on it would just go off when i gave it gas,

Then after i tried starting it without giving it gas it started, and then it would rev up to 3000, then go back down, and it would keep reving up and down with out me giving it gas

I had a problem like that, it was the tps, but you might want that idea to be backed up first before you go and buy antyhing, did you scan it?

could be your idle control solenoid. Check www.vfaq.com for directions on how to test it.

neither, its a honda accord, but i dono what other forums to go to that are big on hondas
