Calgary,
ok. i just moved to canada from cali, brought my dsm with me (91 gsx)
It wasnt a problem downthere where it was warmer, but here.. besides the fact that it takes forever to warm up, after it does and i drive at 50mph .. temp drops a lot. this is at high 30 or low 40 degree weather
im goin to go to the -20 celsius..
I know i need a block heater, wich is on its way.. But how can i keep the temp up??

thanks

Replace the thermostat with a new one and make sure the system is fully purged of air.

I slid a piece of cardboard between the AC condenser and the radiator. It warmed up faster and still ran great. Don't forget to take it out in the spring! Don’t worry about it getting wet, since it's sandwiched in there it will be fine.

Fill it so that it covers the top rad hose, squeeze the hose a little to burp the air. Start it up for a bit and then shut down. Make sure there is no or little pressure in the system and top up as needed. DSM's seem to be pretty easy since the cap is at the top of the system.
