So, I recently bought a 97 GSX and everything was great ... now the tranny hates me

Symptoms: When I push the clutch in a ticking noise comes from the rear of the engine bay
It is hard to shift into first and sometimes second
Sometimes the only way to shift into first is at low speeds

Any ideas? Maybe a tranny/synchro rebuild? CW?
What are the chances of just replacing the clutch fixing this?

stock clutch? a couple of things can cause this. faulty clutch master cyl., aftermarket clutch, bent of broken shift fork. is it only 1st and 2nd? or is it all the top gears or all the bottom gears?

the noise when u realizes
the pedal is the trow out Bering
and the sifting that is a tranny problem
