o2 sensor Bad?

my car is running rich. i will put new ngk plugs in and then go and check the spark they are black real black. I'm starting to think that maby it is my o2 sensor. what could make the car run rich?

What is your mod list? Any fuel mods?
Do you have a check engine light?
What kind of spark plugs and what are they gapped at?

i havn't upgraded the pump or injectors yet my spark plugs are ngk's and i dont know the gap right off hand i had my buddy put them in but they should be the right gap the check engine light isn't on
