Cruise Control

Cruise control doesn't work. Is it best just to take it off and screw it, I would never use it in the first place but it doesn't work and I don't care much for it, has anyone taken it off and is there anything that I would need to do extra to keep the car running right if I take it off?

Does it work at all, or does it engage and then slow down gradually? I had this issue where I would click the lever down at 55 or so, then slowly the speed would drop down. Pushing up on the lever (normally done to increase speed) made it go down faster. Took it to the dealership and they said it was just a vacuum leak somewhere in the line. I know of someone on this site who removed their cruise, and if I remember right, it involved parts from a Galant or something.

I removed my cruise control. Just pull the cable that goes from the cruise control unit to your throttle cable box. Its got a 'T' fitting on the end like the cable that goes to your throttle body, so you will have to put slack on it to take it out.

Then take off the 3 bolts that hold the vaccuum actuator to your car, unplug the harness and your golden.
