Toronto,
I'm not sure where exactly the noise coming from but it's in the general area where my 3" CAT is. I know its in exhaust system for sure. The sound is like hot oil clicking and makes a really loud ticking sound that has an interval. (you know the sound your engine makes after you already shut it off)

I only hear it already after one hard run, and can hear it from inside the car with the motor running!!

I know this is due to heat, but holy crap, is it supposed to be that loud?

Exhaust leak maybe? Your gasket may be the wrong size or bad. Check into replacing the gasket.

Is your exhaust hanger banging around off of something? Or maybe you dropped a socket in your exhaust? LOL
I haven't a clue. I can't think of how it would sound and what would cause it.

You know that sound after a really hot run and you turn your engine off. Its kind of a clicking noise as the motor cools down, sometimes sounds like static cling (ugh so hard to explain LOL). I've been told its the hot oil "jumping" and its kind of like tapping on metal.

I just went and started my car and let it run for a minute to try and see what you're talking about.
If what I'm thinking is correct it's normal for that sound to be louder than normal with a larger exhaust due to the resonance. Go yell real loud somewhere outside. Then goto the grand canyon and yell. Big difference. Know what I mean?
However, I don't think you should have it going as crazy as it sounds. Are you losing a noticeable amount of oil?

Ya I know what you mean, except this just started happening not too long ago.

I am losing drips of oil, which I attribute to a leaky head gasket, but not enough for it to be a problem, I've even been checking my dipstick and it seems about right.

Think of the noise like this, when you fry oil, it makes noises as the oil boils and even jumps out of the pan. Now imagine just literally one molecule of oil jumping out of the pan at say 4 secs apart. Multiply that with the fact that I have a loud exhaust, and that is what the noise is. Right now, I'm just afraid that my exahust might be running too hot and is causing the cat/resonator to overheat? Hence the really loud sound clicks

I think the problem may be attributed to how lean you're running. What are your O2 voltages looking like?
