the egr system has been throwing a cell for sometime now, so i decided to block it off. i removed and blocked off the associated vacuum lines but left the temp sensor in(yes it has cali emissions). when i drove around the block after warming it up i noticed the throttle response increase quite a bit. could it be because my egr valve was stuck open? i removed the battery when i worked on this so it reset the ecu. does the ecu have a "learn mode" that it has to go through first? also the turbo seemed to spool a little faster. i removed the egr lines but i made sure the purge control is still connected and replaced any left over t fittings with a straight fittings, and the fuel regulator lines are still connected.
