no power to the fuel pump

i am not getting any power to the fuel pump the pump is good i just replaced it with a walboro 255 and do i need to tun a new fuel pump wire for the bigger pump

Check the relay and fuses.

You should run a new wire just for rewiring the pump. As far as no power to the pump, it doesnt get power until the engine spins. With the key in the on position, no power is delivered to the pump. If it is getting no power when you spin the engine, It might be your mpi relay. I have one you can swap in to see if it is your problem. If you need a hand, let me know.

I doubt its your mfi relay. Check to see if you have spark and see if your injectors are fireing. If you have no spark and no injector pulse its your crank sensor. Mine went out when i was driving. took me a month to figure it out. Yeah your fuel pump wont come on untill you crank the engine over. that crank sensor controls injector and spark fireing orders and the fuel pump. Good luck.
