car won't start!

Hi! I have been having a problem with my 92 N/T Talon 2.0. It has been acting up by not starting on the first time I turn the key. What would happen is that it would start, stumble and then die. After doing this for between 5 mintues and 1/2 hour it would eventually fire up and run just fine. But now I can't even get the thing going. It won't fire up and die...it will turn over a little bit and then a slight whirring sound or it will sound like the battary is dead. I did change out the battary on it with another one and the same thing. The lights come on and everything else like it is charged but acts like it won't start because of it. Any ideas? Thanks! ok...I just checked the spark plugs on it and 2 were covered in oil, 1 was covered in gas and the last one was fine. I changed them out and it is still doing the same thing. Is the engine flooded or hydrolocked? The wires are farily new but two of them don't look like they are in that good of shape now...the two that go to the good one and the gas covered one. Help ,,anyone?

If your plugs are covered in oil on the outside then the valve cover gasket is leaking around top of plugs and can mess up your spark. You want clean dry wires and plugs. Whirring sound could be starter messing up from turning it over so much trying to start it.Check to see if your getting spark like coil,resistor,cas, wires, plugs and battery volts. Good Luck.
