chtown,
My car is a 98 gsx with a jdm 6 bolt that was built ans sat around for a while , when i first took it out it didn't smoke any drove it for like a week or 2 then sometimes and not all the time it would smoke and smoke half bad at sets of lights, drive Throughs, intersections and what not. So i talked to a few people and some said its the turbo seal, others said it was the valve seals. and some thought it was the rings, well i knew it wasn't the rings cause my vacuum is at 20 and it has good power, turbo seal has no oil in pipes, and valve seals is what i figured it to be, so before i did them i talked to a really good engine builder and he asked me what kind of oil I'm using? So i told him Penzoil 10 30 he said to get rid of it and go with Valvoline, and to change the pcv valve. So i did this and guess what ? Yap my car doesn't smoke a bit not a spec! I'm so happy. I will never use Penzoil again! I hope that this might help some of you out there! :thumb: :dsm:
