OK well I bought the car with a vacuum leak I've replaced everything from a-z for intake and its not leaking anymore great I think. So I start the car up and it runs OK for 5-8min idling and then took it for a test drive. During driving the car it starts to sputter I'm thinking man plugs or wires. So on the way back the car falls on its face and the rpms die to around 500-1100 (1100 is what I had the idle at). So the car won't rev much at all and at WOT it wants to die. Now I've gone through and took everything off again, intake to the turbo, intercooler piping, TB, and the whole intake manifold and replaced it again (pain in the ass) I put a new 1g smic, 1g hard upper ic piping, new 1g bov, and every gasket from a-z for intake.

I have a fuel pressure gauge and it stays at 40psi when the car is running. I've gone through 3 sets of plugs (ngk BPR6ES) in less then 4 hours. The car runs extremely rich, now here is the kicker with the clutch partially in I can rev the car and it revs and drives like a normal car for 4 seconds or so then its back on its face, now with the clutch half way in I rev the car and sometimes its like crap and sometimes it doesn't. Now the car has a new MAS in it too, i've checked all the wires for the mas. The car has a new ECU and the car has a new 02 sensor. There are no vacuum leaks as I said and the car will boost like it should but with stuttering from the rich state all the time. I put new plugs in the car and let it idle for a min and they were fouled out.

The car has a new rebuilt engine compression i fine everything on the car for the engine is new, I've spent too much time messing with the car and it won't even run right anymore. The car is for sale too BTW since I can't seem to fix it, Ive read and replaced everything.

Do you have any exhaust leaks before the 02 sensor? Do you have any way to see what the O2 sensor is reading? If the 02 sensor is reading lean when you are actually rich, then you have a problem relating to the sensor(but not necessarily the sensor itself). If the sensor seems to be reading correctly then you know it's not at fault.

Ok thanks for the reply but the 02 sensor is fine its new. I think I figured out what the problem is... I am running a walbro 255 fuel pump with stock injectors and stock fpr but there is no more fpr soleniod. Its just a vacuum line to the boost controller and one to the intake manifold on the stock fpr. Is that what is causing the rich problem?

That would definitely do it. Get an Aeromotive AFPR on there PRONTO. 255's are notorious for overrunning the stocker.

Thanks guys for the help, with college work and actually driving to college I have my hands full so I don't know when I will get the fpr but it will be soon=)

:nono: you should of known that you need an fpr with that fuel pump. That would of saved you time, money and frustration.
