Is My Throwout Bearing Shot? And Would The Tcm Be Causing It?

ok my car is finally running after an electrial problem that put me down for months..its a 98 eclipse gs with a turbo conversion..now i have two problems..problem 1 is i have a tcm code 1698 on my car and im not sure exactly how to fix it..the other is the bigger problem..i drove my car and it was driving great ..then all the sudden i get on it and my blowoff valve doesnt go off ..so i pull over and now i hear this grinding sound coming from the trans..my guess is the tob cuz it goes away when the clutch is pushed in..but once in a while it does a buck in neutral like it wants to move forward even though its out of gear..wtf is the deal with this..is it still saft to drive?could the tcm have anything to do with this or can i just ignore that code? and most importantly what would a typical shop or anyone local in the pa area charge for a job to fix a tob..i know its all labor and like 30 bucks for the bearing..please help im broke and pissed off about this..thanks

ok so the new update is that i tried driving it with the noise and got about 2 miles from home when the trans just gave out..it mad a little downshifting type noise and then i couldnt get it into any gears..it would go into first and neutral and all but wouldnt move and as soon as i let off the clutch it would just die..it wouldnt idle..so whats this problem sound like..is the tob still to blame or is it a different tranny problem..thanks
