I have these 2 wires that are hanging down by my oil filter. My oil pressure guage reads zero, so I'm pretty sure that's one of em. I can't find where they go. Their heads are shaped differently and they don't go together, but both of them seem to come from wires around the oil filter. Any clue where they go? I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

The two wires are probably for your oil pressure switch and the oil pressure sending unit. These are located very close to your oil filter on the oil filter housing. the switch is to the drivers side of the oil filter, the sender is pointing towards the dampner.

I guarantee that they are no further away than the wires will reach!

be careful i had the same exact thing happen to me i had my car 4 3 months and the pressure guage was below zero the whole time so i found out it was a ground wire and connected it well the guage started working but the car started to blow white smoke then blew the turbo i was about to post it as a question but didnt know how can anybody explain :dsm: :dsm: :dsm: :dsm:

hmm... That's weird. I'd like to know what would cause that too.

are the places that the wire connect to on the top, bottom, sides?

sorry most of that doesn't look familiar, and I've felt around and I can't find any holes for plugs. I took some pictures of the wires, maybe it will help. If you want me to send you the full size pictures let me know, there pretty high res, but yahoo won't let you go that big.

that drum-looking thing that is circled in the first pic has a little metal connector sticking out of it that slots into one of those plastic connectors at the end of the wire.

the other wire slides onto a metal tab of a smaller device that is screwed into the same housing that the little drum is connected to.

You can see it at the top right in this pic from RRE. The little drum is in the background behind the stainless braided line.
