New engine now no spark

I just rebuilt my engine and now after I put it back in it has no spark..The car ran fine just had spun a bearing..It ran B4 I pulled it out..I think I have all the wiring correct but maybe not..What parts do I need to check before I give up..?

I'm assuming your battery is charged so I'll skip the obvious. Start with the coil pack. Then check the power transistor. If it's neither of those two, it might be a sensor issue. Like a cam sensor or a crank sensor not plugged in. Otherwise, and I say this very hesitantly, it *might* be your ecu.

I'd check all wireing, etc...visially. Then i'd try to find someone in your area who has a datalogger and pull up the codes, then go from there to find what's wrong. It sounds to me you simply have wire problem on the ignition side.

I checked all connections to ignition..Car ran B4 I pulled engine..Must be a wire thing..Datalogger will help though?I can see if I can track one down this weekend..I would like to drive the dam thing..Only drove for 800 miles b4 wife got ahold of it..I adjusted throttle cable and did not test it..She drove it to work 75 mPH without useing the gas pedal..5k on tack with clutch in..Spun a bearing

Get ahold of a multimeter and test your coil pack, power transistor, and cas. Also check all of your ground connections. Hopefully that will help you narrow it down.

What is the procedures on how to test the cam postion sensor and crank angle sensor?Book all points to special tools.I what to use a multi meter.All the values they give are for special do-dad....

Did you fix the problem? I'm having the same problem with my car, I swapped my headgasket and now I have no spark. Thanks

Damn, we got a lot of people up on here with no start conditions after touching their engines. I think we need to start a club.
