Cawston,
My car has a very loud pulley/belt Im going to try and fix it tommorow but in the mean time im wondering somthing. I get a ton of knock all the time like 15 degrees on my DSMlink any time no matter what a do I tried riching it up but that did not help I tried pulling timing I have tried everything It even knocks bad when im parked and rev the car past like 2500 rpm like 5degrees and this is only at like 20% throttle could it be the Loud pulley doing this or is my knock sensor bad or what Im so lost. Pleas help me.

Any one have any other ideas then the ones i listed can a boost leak give you ad knock like that. I now i have some small leaks system will only hold 20psi for like 20 seconds I'm in the process of getting them fixed. But can it be that because the car knocks bad even with 0boost?

One thing that you may be able to do it check that the knock sensor is properly screwed in, make sure it is not loose or cranked right in there...... Obviously, your 02's should be around .85 with pump...... You can also get rich knock, I hate that misfiring sound!!!!! Ceck for boost leaks which was said cause unmetered air is not a good thing, make sure FP is around the 40 psi area....... If all else fails, take the knock sensor out, wrap it in foam and tape it too the firewall, just kidding, unless you are looking for a reason to rebuild...... Try adjusting the trims more and post to see what's up...................PS, I have 880's and was getting 43 counts on idle when I reved up, till I got an eprom and programed the computer to read knock only at a higher airflow....... good luck.... steve

I thought it might be rich knock but i treid leaning out airfuel to around 11.5 to 1 that did not help

Have you tried pulling the plugs???? see how they look, that always will let you know what is going on!!!!!!
