I was pulling my speedo sensor to check it and when I pulled it out of the differential on the transaxle the gear fell in and now I cannot get it out. I fear it is down in the transaxle, any suggestions on how to get it out without taking the tranny apart. If the gear is only plastic i could just replace it drive with it in and change the tranny fluid every two days and hope it just grinds itself out (not a great choice). I think there is a cylinder connected to this gear that might be metal though I am unsure I just got the car. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

ok I called around to some dealers and found out about 99.9% that the gear is plastic which is what I had though but had some doubts. what i want to know is what components are in the tranny i didn't really get that good of a look to see what was in there before it dropped. Diagram ... picture ... anything?

delete this thread ... for future information i drained the fluid pulled the plug on the side where you check the fluid level and then blew air from my compressor up it and it blew the gear up so i could manuever it back in place with a retriever.
