I installed my Fullthrottle fpr last week, ever since I've been having a cold start problem. If the engine is warm there is no problem, only after sitting for a while. I figured out that the cause of the problem was my fuel pressure is bleeding off, and I'm figuring it must be emptying the fuel lines when the car sits more than a couple of hours. While researching I found a similar thread on http://www.fullthrottletech.com:

When I shut my car off with the stock reg it would stay where it was at idle (30PSI) for several hours. My AFPR bleeds down to nothing in about 3-4 minutes. Car doesnt start as quickly like this. Is this normal?

Mine bleeds off faster than this, probably takes less than an minute to blead down to zero.

Usually that means the check valve in the pumps is failing very common in Walbro pumps

Now my question is, is it just a weird coincidence that this happened at the exact same time I installed my fpr or is there something wrong with my fpr? I'd hate to buy a new pump and then find out it wasn't the problem. I have walbro 255.

I just installed a brand new fuel pump, the problem still exists the new pump made absolutely no difference. I was also noticing that when I disconnect the vaccum line from the fpr there is a delay of anywhere from 1 second to 15 seconds before the fuel pressure rises. I really need some help with this, I'm now conviced that it occured when I install the fpr as the problem didn't exist before.
