Illinois
Ok, it cooled off enough today for me to install the ECU with the replaced caps.
Still flooding out, and IS repeat IS getting spark, because there are carbon tracks on the whites of the plugs going to the prongs.
The car did start the first try several times after I hooked everything back up the first time. It has not started since.
As the engine/components sit right now.
New coil
New plugs
New wires
Stock fuel pump
Stock Fuel injectors blue tops (450 cc correct?)
AFPR That is currently at 33 PSi. Earlier it was at 36/37 and doing the same thing. It actually came closest to starting when it was a little over 40.
The turbo has been taken out of the loop, I used IC pipes to connect maf straight to the TB.
Did boost leak, no leaks.
Good starter
Good battery
Turns over smoothly, and acts like it wants to start sometimes
I have a starter engauge bypass installed and usiung that to crank. It WILL NOT crank with the key ignition. It stopped doing that last week. Reason unknown.
The fuel pump is working, both by reading fuel pressure and hearing the whine, and the flow through the fuel filter in the engine compartment
The exhaust manifold and DP are warming up after several starting tries, so that also tells me that some form of spark is happening.
The ECU caps have been replaced, one was just starting to leak.
The SAFC is hooked up and works, but I have everything -0-'d out right now.
I do have the data logger cable, but I am waiting to get the charger and Sync cable. Better be here Thursday.
Today, I noticed a wire was broken from the single spade sensor on the thermostat housing. I trimmed the wire, and installed a female connector and hooked it back up.
Compression test... 190 all 4
I know there are 2 oil pressure senders (had same part number). I had to remove one to install my oil temp sender. I spliced it into the other sender wire that was still hooked up.
Please... anything... should I try rebuilding the CAS or what?
This is becoming much more trouble then it is worth.
