I'm smoking when I accelerate hard, but it doesn't smoke through-out the power band, just the lower rpms. I don't think it's the turbo seals because the turbo is brand new with like a 1000 miles on it. I did blow my dipstick out last weekend. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, just a little fyi.....
 
Need more details.
What color is the smoke? Blue smoke is : a) Turbo seals b) Valve seals c) Piston rings
White smoke is coolant black smoke is uncombusted fuel.
You need to do a compression test and post the results. Might want to pull the Lower Intercooler Pipe and see if there is oil in it. Also, how is your PVC routed? And what do you plugs look like? That should be enough for us to easily tell you what your problem is.
 
White smoke don't worry about the piping. Run a compression test.
Chances are you have a blown headgasket. A compression test will verify.

If it's real bad you will be replacing the o2 sensors up and down along with plugs. Just be ready to spend a little money. :(
 
ive blown my head gasket and it didnt affect my idle, another thing you can do to check is to tosee if you get little air bubbles in your coolant once the car is warmed up. let it idle with the coolant cap off and once the car is warmed up if ur head gasket is blown you will see bubbles in your coolant. (it ispossible for it to be blown and you not see bubles, but seing your burning coolant i would imagine you will see bubbles)
 
yeah give that a try, ive had bubbles both times i blew my head gasket, well actualy only the first time the second time i blew the head and it was so bad that so much air was going threw my cooling system that icouldnt even put water in it it jus blew it all out, LOL. acthaly thats not funny i needed a new head.... man that was a bad day...

.... A compression test will verify. Head gaskets go bad in different degrees. You might only be sucking a small amount of coolant, or you might empty all the coolant in your car in less than 5 seconds. Run a compression test, it will tell you for sure.
 
Those are very low, especially for a 2g.

On the bright side, at least they're ALL low :p

OK, did my compression test, here are the numbers:

Cylinder 1= 127
Cylinder 2= 124
Cylinder 3= 123
Cylinder 4= 131
Repeat the test with the car fully warmed up and full throttle applied, then do a wet immediately after. Oil can sometimes seem whitish so go through everything and don't leave anything out. The fact that you're pressurizing the crankcase, I suspect the rings may be in question and a wet test will tell. If wet test doesn't give you a good indication then a leak down would be in order. I would still check the turbo as well, you didn't get a little boost happy with that new GT did you? ;)
 
Ok, I'll try to do the wet test today, I wanted to redo it anyways. I did have the boost set on 20-21 psi and I was on pretty hard Friday and Saturday night....kinda did like 14 races those nights.....that's why I think it's the head gasket, but I didn't think a headgasket would lower compression that much...
