when im driving around locally going slow i can hear a knocking sound when hitting bumps coming from the front right and back two sides of the car. does not happen at normal higher speeds unless i hit a bump in the road and i hear a harsh knock. i think its blown shocks because i cant think what else it could be.

Just about any suspension component, and even some non-suspension components, can make a knocking sound when you hit a bump. You're going to have to work on isolating it. If you don't want to have a shop figure it out and fix it for you, your best bet is to jack the car up and wrestle with some of the parts to see if you can't locate something that is loose or makes the noise when you hit it. It could be a bushing in the suspension, it could be a loose heat shield - you just won't know until you're down there checking it out. My wager would be against it being the shocks themselves though.
