I have this consistent chirping or squeaking sound coming from the belts. Plus, whenever I would start the ignition after it has been sitting overnight and I leave the A/C switch on, or turn on my headlights immediately after starting my car, I get this large burst of squeaking sound that overpowers the regular, bearable consistent squeak sound. So as a result, I would shut the A/C off and let it run idle for a few minutes. That in the end relieves my worst problem but doesn't solve it. Which then leaves me with the consistent lower-pitched squeaking that I get, but can't seem to figure out what is the source of the problem. Much help is appreciated. :dsm:

Pin point where the sound is coming from. Your belts might be old, your pullies might be going out, or your tensior might be about done.

cut the a/c belt and roll down your windows. :D check your belts for dryness and cracks also for spots that they look like they might have been slipping. also check the tension of the belts could be to loose or even over tightend which could end up in burning up the bearings in the pulleys. when your press on the belt you dont want it to move more then 3/8" or so. you could also take the belts off and give each pulley a good spin to see if it spins freely or if it binds up. :thumb: :talon:
