I was trying to replace the fuel filter, and i broke the line running into it. It actually snapped off in two places: At the inlet, and about a foot back under the car. I see 4 other hard lines near by...do those carry fuel too? I hope i didn't bust the other ones too.

What the hell do i do now?? Where can i get a new line from the tank to the filter?

thanks for your help

do you know what those other lines are for? They run along the stock line and branch off in the engine bay near the filter.

This shouldn't be seen as a cause for paranoia - changing the fuel filter is a relatilvely straight-forward process that won't typically end in the destruction of components. This guy's supply line was probably already weakened and he just finished it off - it would have likely happened to whoever had attempted to change the filter on his car.

To the original poster's question, there are several hardlines that run from front to rear:

1) Fuel supply
2) Fuel return
3) EVAP (air feed from fuel tank)
4) hydraulic brake lines

I haven't looked at the set of lines near there, but it may be ALL these lines clustered in that bunch. Torquing around on the fuel supply line should not be able to put undue stress on the neighboring lines however, so I don't think you'll have to worry about damage to them.
