please help

My friend has a 91 Plymouth Laser with a swapped 4G63 out of a Mitsu which he doesn't know which year. It won't fire. Is it a CAS problem, coil problem or ECU problem. It has no spark going to the wires. My guess is a CAS. It cranks but just won't fire. He has 7 days to get it moved or it will be ticketed and towed. If it helps his wife washed it while the engine was running and then parked it. It hasn't started since. Please help. Thanks

after i swapped a 4g63t in my 90 talon it would not fire,
check for voltage at the cam sensor it should be about 5 volts(this was my problem no voltage equaled a bad ecm)
check the resistance of the ingnition coils (read repair manual for ohms differ years have differ ohms advance auto parts will check it for free if you bring it to them) remeber to check both

No voltage on CAS. I guess the ECU is fried. Flukes don't lie!!!

Where is the ECU located on the car. I usually only mess with CB7 Accords.

not to throw topic here but if you do your honda thing, why do you even bother or try to help on a DSM site?? or better yet, why doesnt your friend get online and post that he needs help???

about the CAS not getting power, check all connections before replacing the ECU. you wouldnt want to replace the ECU and then find out its not the problem

You might also want to try your MPI fuse. It is located on your positive battery cable in a group of 3 fuses. It should be the 20amp fuse closest to your driver side.
