Car is 2.0 non turbo, Automatic. 1G. 200K miles.
When the car is cold, when you first give it gas, nothing happens: IE like no acceleration or throttle response for a brief moment, then it goes. Once it is moving, accelereation is finr, it's that very first moment from a stop and you give it gas, it's like a pause before it actually gets the fuel or fires it off. Once warmed up, it doesn't pause.
It used to not do this.
Car has either bad rings or valve seals, burns lots of oil. Been using Lucas Oil Treatment to keep it from burning the oil, and it works.
I wonder if it is the fuel filter, cause it hasn't been done in a while.
Just curious if anyone knows the most common DSM reasons it could be that I could look into.
