I'm in the middle of putting my new head on. I have the actual head on and now I'm getting everything lined up to put the timing belt on. I cannot get the camshaft sprockets lined up though. This is the closest i can get it:

When I crank the camshafts around, they always just come back to that same spot (I can't just crank it around to the right spot.
What is wrong?

well what I had to do was set the intake cam to the head level, run the timing belt to the intake and use a wrench to turn the exhaust and run the belt around it.The belt actually held the exhaust cam till I got the rest of the timing set.Hope it helps .

Not sure how good it is for it,but I had to when I did mine and no problems, but I would not be the one to recomend it.Just go all the way back around clockwise and stop short of it snaping past the timing mark.Get the intake set with the dowel pin at 12 'o clock which should have your timing marks horizontal with the head(the timing belt will hold it there till you have the exhaust cam set and the belt on.Bu8t also dont forget to turn your crank a quarter turn COUNTER CLOCKWISE and back to set TDC before putting the belt on.

BTW........being new to DSM's it took Me alot of trial and error to get it right :WTF: .Dont let it discourage you :thumb:
