I NEED to drive my car more or less I just cant wait anymore, I have an afcII and a maft but for some reason whrn I have the car in D it can only rev to about 2000 rpm. neutral and park 7000 all day but nothing else will even budge 2200. the afcII hasnt been messed with yet all I did was set the sensors and throttle options and the maft is set for my injectors I beleive.

Whats the problem?????????

when I first was starting out I had a slight problem with the park/neutral switch on the trans not insink with the shifter but I took care of that (unless i didnt) would that cause anything and i check for boost leaks i dont have any untill about 32 lb of pressure in the pipes is that ok?

thanks for the help

Are you revving it in Drive with the brakes on OR trying to drive down the road and only getting up to 2,000RPM? What does it do at 2,000RPM? Buck and sputter or just hang out there? Do you have a datalogger?

First two things that come to mind are ignition and fuel. Check the spark plug gap and make sure they are .028" gap. Check spark plug wires. Check fuel pressure. Hopefully someone else will add more.

Wow! 32psi with no leaks is great. Consider yourself lucky. Most of us have to fix at least a couple leaks before getting over 20psi. I'm assuming this was your first time boost leak testing.

What SAFC and MAFT settings are you currently trying to use? Maybe that will help get more input

well I am reving it with the brake down I wouldn't think that it would matter and it just hangs out no sputtering or nothing just stops accelerating. fuel, spark plug gap are good. fuel pressure is set at 41psi that what I found as stock for a 2g in a search. as for boost leaks I had to fix one or two earlyer but that was all.

thanks for the help keep it comming

Since your profile says "Super 70 compressor hybrid 20g" I'm going to guess you are not building any boost yet at 2,000 RPM.

Did you do any porting since the last time the car ran? What did you change? Or are you dumping tons of new parts into a previously non-running car? This is kind of hard to do without a datalog to see what the ECU is working with.

Is the GM MAF oriented properly? There is an arrow on them that shows which direction air is supposed to flow through them. Is the MAF clean? Or maybe you got a bad MAF.

I have a logger and I can post a log what do you want to see from that log? no there isnt any boost yet. the head was ported and intake manifold was cleaned us a bit. I have the arow of the MAS ponting to the throttle body that correct right the direction that the air flows not the directon the air is comming from right?

I hope that give you a little more to work with

thanks
