Well as some of you may know, I succesfully ran 30psi on a 14b with an all stock car. Well today/tonight I finally got it back together with another OEM headgasket and ARP studs. Understand, the HG blew into a coolant jacket, sending 30psi into my coolant system on its way out of the engine. This mangaged to blow my radiator. So all back together with a new radiator I start it up. Runs real good, idles good, pulls hard. Then I noticed the smoke. This smoke is so bad its like instant fog. When its Idiling, you cant even see the taillights. So I drove it down the street to the corner store and back. The wastegate is frozen, and I disconnected the MBC to be sure. I'm really thinking its the turbo because it wasnt made for that kind of boost, and it was full of coolant. I put a shopvac to it before I put the head back on, and from what I could see, I didnt see any more puddles. Let me sum it up again...white smoke, at every RPM
So much smoke it creates a fog that lingers, and makes cars dissapear behind me.

I forgot to add that I had the head machined and pressure tested.

Leakdown test with a mechanic's stethoscope, then a boost leak test. Sounds like you probably blew the head gasket... if not cracked the head itself, and cored the turbo bearings out.

I will be doing both today. Here is a little update...This morning I started it and just let it idle. It was smoke free untill the engine heated up, then the smoke came slowly. It's nothing like last night, but still alot more smoke than I'd like to see in any car.

How long have you let it run? It took over an hour to burn all the coolant out of my stepsons exhaust system when he blew the head gasket on his Geo Tracker. Hopefully that is all it needs is time to get the exhaust good and hot.

Yeah, when you blow a HG at 10psi of boost it's a good idea to take off the whole exhaust system and drain it all out. You blew one at 30. If everything is peachy (HG, head etc...) then you're just burning coolant residue.

Yeah you guys were right, it burned off eventully. Still smoking every once and a while, but considering the turbo was a pond of coolant, I'd hate to see what the exhaust looked like.
