Well trying to start my 2.4 hybrid and misfiring on cylinders 3 and 4. I get spark in both, not sure on fuel or compression but just cranking it ) I can hear whooshing from the breather filter. but don't know what that means. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

If you pull the plugs on those cylinders after cranking it, are they wet with fuel?

If so, you need to compression test.

How about a compression check? It's possible that there is some water in the bock that the W/P is trying to move so it's just sloshing back and forth. Disconnect the W/P belt and see if that makes it go away.

Cheers,

I meant to say that i could hear it through the breather filter not the water pipe, i'll edit the first post. My question is would this be caused by timing to be off a notch? I plan on doing a compression test tommarrow.

We can talk this to death, a compression check is 10 minutes out of your life. Checking the timing is another 10 minutes. I don't know if it's telling you something but either of the above tests will.
