Car won't stay running

Ok, when I go to start the car, it will start right up, but the ecu will make a constant ticking sound and the rpms will drop or raise on every tick, and then drop to about 500rpms and die. I have no idea what the problem is, I think it might be the ECU, but I'm not 100% sure. The car has ran great for past 500 miles, yet is now just starting this problem. All help is much appreciated.

Check your ecu for leaking caps. Open up the ecu and see if the caps are leaking.
