CEL, up to 43 counts of knock SOMETIMES, now ANTI LOCK light?

94 TSi AWD, 90K miles, just bought it a week ago. CEL after the first day...disconnected the battery and the light went off until the next day, when it was on for a little while and went off again. Came back on the next day and hasn't shut off yet. Hooked up my datalogger cause I thought it would tell me engine codes, but I don't think it does...maybe I'm not looking in the right spot (someone help me out there if I'm not) It did show that at times I would get some knock, I boosted hard a couple of times with no knock, then sometimes boosting at low RPMs I would get up to 43 counts of knock, or sometimes none. Then on my way home the anti-lock light came on.

So any suggestions on what's wrong or where to start?

is the tsi stock?

this might be a stupid question but.. since you just got the car last week, maybe the previous owner put cheap gas in it... since you're getting so much knock, try filling up with premium if you haven't already.

as for your abs light, i'd worry about that later... does it come on after a few minutes that the car has been running or does it come on and stay on as soon as you start the car?
