Strange problem. Car died on me 2 days ago.

Timing is good. Fuel is good. When it comes to spark, I get spark on cylinder #3 and #4, but not on #1 and #2.

So I'm missing spark from half of a coil, on both coils. I am going to pull them and test the resistance per the shop manual.

Also, one thing I noticed, right before the car died, the tachometer freaked out and bounced around all over the place.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on.?

One thing you might want to do is replace your coil pack and see if that works. As far as your tach goes I'm not sure does your speed odmeter work, you might want to start with your sensors.

Update. I have consistent spark on cylinders 2 and 4. Cylinders 1 has intermittent spark (doesn't spark as much as 2 and 4 do.) Cylinder 3 is hard pressed period to spark.

All plugs and wires are new. Anyone have any ideas as to what it is.? The coils secondary resistance was in spec, but my multimeter doesn't read between 0 and 1 ohm's. So I need to find a multimeter that does for that.

Any ideas.?

Change the plug wires on the coil tower swapping 1 & 4 and 2 & 3 and see if the problem moves. Make sure to use new plugs for this test checking first that it still happens with the new plugs and swap the wires to each coil.

Well, magically today. I have spark on all 4 cylinders. (explain that one to me) But it seems like I am either not getting enough fuel, or none at all....

I am leaning towards the CAS now, but still not sure.. Have a wiring harness for my 1g CAS coming in friday, so I'll have to wait to put it on and see.
