I installed my SAFC2 and it was reading some knock so i came home and started reading about phantom knock. I reset the knock on my SAFC2 because maybe i did it wrong the first time. Before i did this i would only get knock when i let off, now i get like 8 counts of knock at idle and up to 47 when i let off. Can someone please give me some suggestions to what i can do to fix it. MY car doesn't feel like it's retarding timing at all, when it does it. Any info would be greatly apprerciated.

Thank god someone has cleared this up i was going nuts. I just won't moniter knock any more with the SAFC2, it seems kind of stupid that you should hook up the knock sensor wire if it doesn't get used.

so the knock feature is only for 1g ??
No, it's for hondas. The SAFC doesn't read anything close to what the ECU reports as knock. If you want to read you knock sums on a 1G get a datalogger and forget about the SAFC-2. It's knock display is just another blinkly light.

It's about as useful as an air/fuel gauge.
