I have a 95 Eagle Talon TSI Automatic 2WD
First yeah, I know auto, yuck... I'll change it eventually.
So anyway, I got home last night and I'm pulling into my packing space and I come to a complete stop before driving over the bump in front of my spot as to not bottom out. When I try to accelerate over it slowly the car doesn't go, just revs. Tranny wouldn't catch. I revved it to about 4 then it started to move slowly, got over the bump and stopped again. When I started to go the car started jerking as if it was trying to catch but couldn't, wasn't miss firing, just jerking. Motor didn't sound boggled at all, just like the tranny was slipping and couldn't catch. So I parked it and got a ride to work today.
When I got home just now, I got in and tried to see if clicking the OverDrive button would jog it out of it's problem. Well, there was no slippage at all, no jerking, no nothing, back to normal.
I drove it around the block twice to see if any gears were behaving oddly and nothing.
It's like the car didn't have a problem in the first place.
I'm probably due to a tranny flush since I bought it used and don't know when it was done last but that's cake. Any idea as to if the problem is going to arise again or if I should take more action than just a flush.
Of corse I'll look for shavings when I do do the flush but any suggestions before I start?
