I amnot sure my BOV is working. My hearig is poor and can't hear it. When I let off the throttle under boost it feels like the car bucks. Is there a test? i have a compressor but wouldneed a vacuum pump, huh? Mark

The 1G BOV opens at about a -7.7 psi pressure delta between the nipple and the reference port on the base of the flange.

When you installed it did you use a stock 1G BOV gasket? The OEM gasket provides a path to the reference port. In the past a few people have used RTV and blocked it.

I know a guy who blocked it recently with rtv!! LOL Hope I can clean the stuff off, gasket sealer. Thanks, good to learn even if it's FUBAR'ed

Pulled the BOV. Wasn't sealed well at all. Now to find the correct gasket, thanks again Steve, Mark

You can use RTV, you just have to be careful not to block off a path from the UICP to the port. A little around the perimeter of the flange should do it.
The OEM gasket has a single large diamond shaped hole in it to expose both the port and the valve.
