Alright here is the issue. When im giving it throttle or just easing it along, everytime i get to a stop light my temperature/coolant guage starts going up past the norm close to H...but when the light turns green and i go again it will start to go back down...so far my conclusions have been that it could either be draining coolant and putting in some new stuff, that or i think it might have something dealing with the radiator itself - the thing with that is when i bought this car used the guy had the cooling fans wired to switch inside the car and would only turn on when the car was off...and now they will not turn on at all (blown fuse most likely), the thing is i know the fans should turn on when your are at idle but mine do not at all....some information on something like this would be awesome before i buy new fans, coolant, and radiator :dsm:

Thanks,

Tony

Chances are your radiator is fine. Before you go replacing the fans, hook them up directly to a power source like your battery to see if they work at all. If they work, trace back to relays/fuses and so forth. If they don't work, then you'll know the problem is in the fan.

Also, put a new thermostat in...they sometimes get stuck open/closed and cause similar symptoms. Start with the cheap stuff first...thermostats are only like $4 and are simple to change.

Thanks Matt, but itd be appreciated if you could tell me where i could find a thermostat and how to install...along with locating the fan wires (I NEED TO GET MY DAMN HAYNS MANUAL!), also the stock oil temp gauge does not work and i dont know what the deal is with that....(you could say this guy really messed up when it came to installing some stuff)
