well the other day i went to go open my glovebox and as i let it go the glovebox ended up goin straight down hanging towards the ground and everything fell out... i laughed LOL but still i read in here some where that there are a couple screws somewhere(no idea where LOL) but if i didnt unscrew them im guessing sumthin broke :-( thats the bad part does anyone know what i can do? i wanna fix it... did they ever happen to anyone... thanks guys

There are screws along the very "bottom" of the glovebox that attatch it to the dash. I doubt all of them backed out. So... sounds like the stops along the sides of the box which prevent them from opening too far broke off (too much weight or letting it slam down too often).

Ghetto fix is to put in a flat-head bolt (flat head on the inside, nut on the outside) about where you want it to stop..... Should hold for a while. Add a washer or two as to spead the pressure over a greater area, and prevent the bolt hole from widening with use.

Also find where the post snapped off and drill through it, and use a nail cut off to the right length, and use 2-part epoxy to hold it in. (This worked on a broken cup holder for me).

Anybody else have another suggestion besides a new glove box?

On 2G gloveboxes, there are two stoppers on the edges. The slide in from the inside. Check inside the box for them. Black square plastic things, they should be self-explanatory from looking at them. They just slide in.

Thanks guys... I guess only one of those square stoppers were in there and it broke in half, but the other one has been sitting in my glovebox since i bought the car so i put that one bak in knowing where it belongs now, hope that will hold, but i guess it is reccommended to have both atleast so all the pressure isnt on just one rite?
neways thanks for ur help guys
