So the other day my car started fine and I drove it to a firends where I it say for about 2 hrs.
When I was leaving it wouldnt start. The starter solinoid would click but nothing would happen. I check the voltage of the battery and it was at 12 volts. He had a inclined drive way so i rolled out and droped the clutch and go the car started... I drove it home fine with no problems.
When I shut it off, I check if it would turn back on and it wouldnt. So I figured it was the starter solinoid. I didnt bother checking it becasue I was replacing old parts already and just ordered a new starter.
Whe I got it in today and got in the car to turn her over. it did the same thing. Just clicks once.
Only thing i though was weird was that the new starter had a plug comming off of it that looked like it could connect to the starter switch on the starter. and the old one looked like it had a wire there but it was missing.
I did a lot of reading and I read that the cap's in the ecu going bad could have something to do with it, however wouldnt that also keep the car from running when I started it.
The battery is new and I recently had the alternator checked.
I dont know what the problem could be. any help is appreciated
