Misfiring Constantly

Well, I've got a 94 TSi AWD it's completely stock except for an axle back Exhaust. Recently the car has been idling really rough and when i drive its missing horribly its like there is no boost and, but as long as i barely get on the throttle it seems ok. I haven't checked anything because it just happened. My dad thinks its the Fuel Filter but i dont know. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys.

This sounds similar to what happened when my turbo gasket blew (gasket between manifold and top of exhaust side).

Check the VFAQ. It could very well be a bad gasket or a boost leak somewhere.

Also check for obvious intake leaks or obstructions in the intake.

I had a very similar problem also. My Fule Pressure reg as near death.. fixed it and no more missfires or stuttering.
