Can't Shift Clutch don't disngage

Ok I have 2 problems,,

1. I can't get in to any upper gears (1,3,5)
I can get into 2,4 easy and reverse works but i have work at it to get it in. and when in reverse and i'm backing up i get a lound wineing sound only in reverse!!

2. when my clutch peddel is on the floor it disngages enough to let the car roll when thecar is off but when it is runing it trying to pull foward when it is all the way down. and well driveing i can not shift,, once i take it out of gear it won't go back in sometimes it will grind but most of the time it just won't go in no noise at all!!!

And yester day i was workoing on it, i put it into second and went around the block when i went to go into the drive way it jerk and hoped and pulled and did all kinds of crap i though i was going to break the car in half i don't know what is going on!!

Is it still your original clutch?
If so your clutch is on its way out.
Now if clutch is new, check and or replace the clurch release cylinder mounted on the tranny, I also sugegst you replace the clutch master cylinder as well.
Let us know what clutch set up you would want to go with.

1. check the shifter and the linkage on top of the tranny, make sure nothing is in the way.

2. Check the fluid level, leaks at master and slave, rubber hose, bleed it and check for pedal freeplay.

There are a lot of discussions on this topic so do yourself a favor and search.
 
I've heard of this problem before but I've never been able to diagnose one myself so this may or may not help you. Due to the fact that all the front gears (1,3,5) went out and that the clutch is disengaging right off the floor and wanting to roll when you have your foot to the floor, it means something in either the hydraulic system or something with the clutch is screwy. Try checking the slave cylinder (what sam called the clutch release cylinder on the transmission) to make sure it's not leaking and that it's operating properly. After years of abuse, these tend to crap out on you at the worst time possible. If it doesn't have proper hydraulic pressure or something is limiting it from reaching full extension, this could be the culprit. Then, check the clutch master cylinder for leaks and make sure it's operating properly. If all else fails, you're looking at a clutch swap. I highly doubt it's the transmission but I've heard stranger things.
