Stalling...Used search...

...and i did not really find an exact answer.

Sorry if this has been asked a lot of times.

I have a 95 Eclipse RS with 125,000 miles that i recently bought.(http://www.cardomain.com/id/thirty4jupiter)

I have problems with the car stalling. It usually stalls when idling but sometimes when I am driving I just see the rpm suddenly jump down and the car jerks

I tried putting premium gas and it did not stall as much but that may just be coinsidence as sometimes it does stall

I tried putting a full tank of gas and keeping it above half and it also does not stall as often but it still does.

The transmission is rough when downshifting from 2-1 when i am slowing down... it seems like it pushes into 1 and the car jerks forward a bit.

I have changed the spark plugs a fuel filter and did an oil change.

I hope some people have suggestions or tips.

the idling is not very smooth, it jumps up and down a bit
