i've noticed that when im floring it, at around 80 mph it boggs down or it drops into the last gear and picks up very slow. It goes to about 3200 rpm and very slowly accelerates. I dont know what the problem is and i do maintain the car very excellent i have headers, and intake and exhaust along with other bolt ons but no electronic upgrades so thats not the problem. any info will help. thanks

Just for kicks.. check to make sure there is no obstruction in the intake.

I had a similar prob twice before. Once turned out to be a collapsed rubber intake pipe (only collpsed when pulling in alot of air at high RPMs) and the other turned out to be a coupler that got sucked into the MAF (honeycombs are useful sometimes).

Could also be a very clogged fuel filter or air filter.

yeah my cars an automatic and i did check the intake nothing is in the way or inside the pipe, i also have a honeycomb filter with my cold air intake.
