hey i just finished everything i can imagine! and i took it out to jump start it, cuz for some reason my battery was dead and all the lights and everything turned on... and i tried starting... it turned fine and everything but wouldnt go... ok so the battery needs to charge a little... wont go keep pushing it and it starts to give some signs of starting almost like it wants to take off... and give a sort of backfire... ok uh try some more and its kinda half wanting to go and half not at all... its late like 3:30 am and ive been workign on it since like 6... so im giving up for tonight... what could i have missed or did i do something wrong i thought everything went pretty perfect?

if the timing is off, if a cam is off by one would that cause it to not start?

oh and are the cams supposed to be like matching each other? like are the 5 spokes supposed to be exactly lined up? i marked them b4 i took the belt off.... but the mark came off... : /

Search up Timing belt install or look into your repair manual (every DSmer should have something to reference other than on the net).

My timing was off 1 tooth and was running like shit (nothing happend to motor thank god). Im pretty sure if timing is way off then it wont start

Check your MPI fuse right next to the battery. (im not that familiar with 90's as i have a 2G).

That part about ur cam lining being off scares me. Mine was off by one before and ran ok

also make sure your camshaft sprocket bolt is torqued right! that little messup is costing me 1400 :thumbdown
