I have a shaking coming from the right front corner of my car. From about 50 mph on up you can feel it in the car and the steering wheel shakes from it. I had the wheel and tire checked and nothings wrong there. Brake rotors are new and a new tie rod end on that corner also. I'm out of guesses at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

It does need an alignment, it would have to be pretty bad to cause the shaking wouldn't it? I'll have the rack looked at, with the vibration coming from the right front I never even considered the rack. Thanks for the help.

im having the same problem that hes having and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the inner tie rod are and where the steering rack are because i just recently bought a 94 eagle talon and im new at this car stuff, any help would be appreciated thanks

tie rods are at the end of the steering rack. There connected close to the knuckle of the wheel hub.

Those are the tie rods.

does anyone think it would still be safe to drive at high speeds with this shake or could something prossibly break
thanks

Those were actually tie-rod ends. Those thread onto the inner tie-rod which inturn threads into the rack. If your car is out of line to any degree it could cause the shaking. I'd say your gonna be fine driving with it, but you're probably gonna eventually notice uneven wear on that tire.

it could be a balance, especially at those speeds, or it might be time for a rotation. It can be a wheel bearing going bad, allowing too much endplay. If it doesnt make any noise, i doubt its a bearing. Also like everyone said, an alignment can be a problem allowing the tire to scrub across the ground, instead of rolling smoothly. Feel the tire see if its smooth hoizontally and vertically. Any bumps, sharp edges, or bald spots can be your problem.

Number one problem for steering wheel shaking above 50mph is due to a tire balance issue. I would check your front tires and see how much they are off. I wouldnt worry about the alignment issue unless your car pulls to the left or right.

tire balance. Also, if you do a bunch of high speed stuff on tires that aren't speed rated (not that anyone ever does such silly things ;)) the belts will actually seperate inside the tire (making it dangerous) which will cause quite a bit of vibration.

I was having some nasty vibration and getting my new wheels and tires (which were balanced) helped a lot. :D

When im just going into a turn and i have my hand at 9 oclock on the steering wheel and i turn right i can feel some sort of like its hard to describe but it sounds and feels like something is loose. when i turn left theres no problem thought. the feel is like something is banging against something else but im not sure any help with this explanation.

does the vibration get worse during braking? If it does it could be a warped rotor(can affect normal driving too, depending on severity of the warpage)

no it doesnt get worse when i stop

LOL just get your car aligned, and the toe and camber adjusted. $35 i think is what it will probably cost. =P dont look at it yourself, as even if something is wrong, i doubt you have the tools to do it all. (and you need the specs for doing it anyway... something that shops have.)

Get the tires balanced, and also get the car aligned. An alignment is cheaper than new tires, and alignment issues will cause tire wear. Even if the car does not pull, certain alignment issues can cause a feathered edge on the tire which can cause a vibration if it gets bad enough.
